What is a Fundraiser?

A fundraiser is a way for you to show support for the causes you care about during Big Give Gage on September 11, 2025!

Create your own Fundraiser, set a fundraising goal, and then encourage your network of family, friends, and colleagues to support your favorite organization by sharing your Fundraiser's URL via email, social media, and more!

Become a Fundraiser in 5 easy steps!

Step 1: Choose an organization to support and create your Fundraiser

Find your favorite nonprofit using the website's search function. From the nonprofit's page, click the "Create a Fundraiser" button. Set your details! Add your title, your name, custom URL, and set your fundraiser goal. 


If you cannot find your favorite nonprofit, they have not registered to participate in Big Give Gage. Check back at a later date or contact the nonprofit to confirm participation.

Step 2: Tell us your Fundrasier story!

Why does this organization matter to you and why should people give? If you're creating a fundraiser for a specific program, discuss the program details, the programs importance and the impact the program has on the community.

Step 3: Personalize your Fundraiser

Add a personal image for the Fundraiser! Include a photo of you and the organziation or the program you are advocating for.

Step 4: Review & Publish!

Preview your profile before you push it live. Please note, once published, it can take up to 5 minutes appear live.

Step 5: Share your Fundraiser to help your cause!

Fundraisers are only successful when they're shared! Copy your Fundraiser's unique URL to share with family, friends, and other contacts in email and posts to social media.

Fundraiser FAQs:

  • When can I create a Fundraiser?

    You can create Fundraisers as soon as your nonprofit has registered for Big Give! Find your favorite nonprofit using the website's search function.

  • When can people begin giving to my Fundraiser?

    People can give to your Fundraiser once early giving begins on September 4.

  • Will I be notified when someone makes a donation to my Fundraiser?

    Yes! Yes, you will recieve an email that tells you when a donation is made to your Fundraiser and the donor's information unless they have chosen to give anonymously.

  • Can I create more than one Fundraiser?

    Yes, you can create as many fundraisers as you'd like, but we recommend you choose one or two nonprofits to focus your efforts on. Have more than one program within your nonprofit? Create a fundraiser for each one!

  • How will the donations I raise through my Fundraiser get to the nonprofit?

    Gage Community Foundation will disperse funds raised from Big Give and distribute it to participating nonprofits after the event.
