Beatrice Special Olympics

Special Olympics provides year-around sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympic athletes and the community. We also are all about creating a new world of inclusion and community, where every single person is accepted and welcomed, regardless of ability or disability.
In Beatrice we currently are offering 8 year-round sports for our athletes to practice and compete in. Most recently, we have added Unified Bowling as a new sport, where athletes team up with a friend, family member or a person fron the community that does not have any kind of disability and they all work together towards one goal and that is social inclusion for all.

March 2025- "I was able to 'Play Where the Pro's Play', which was in TITAN's stadium, come home with a medal, spend a couple of days in Nashville with my Coaches & flag football teammates, go on my first fight and so many others, all because of Beatrice Special Olympics. This opportunity was the best thing I have ever been involved with." reported a flag football player that attended the Music City Blitz in Nashville.
