Who We Are

Hope Crisis Center is a non-profit organization that advocates for safety, stabilization, and hope for those impacted by domestic and sexual violence. In collaboration with our community, we are committed to reducing stigma, helping survivors navigate systems, and building pathways out of abuse. We serve survivors from all walks of life throughout Gage, Jefferson, Saline, Seward, York, Fillmore, and Thayer Counties. 

What We Believe 

We believe that hope changes everything. We recognize that leaving or healing from an abusive situation is not a one-time event, but an ongoing process. We meet each survivor within the context of their lives, offer unconditional support, provide guidance when appropriate, and work to connect them with the diverse resources they need to move forward. We've been doing this critical work since 1992. 

How We Serve

The services we provide include emergency shelter, 24-hour hotline assistance, legal advocacy, medical advocacy, bilingual advocacy, financial assistance, individualized one-on-one support, and community education. All services are free and confidential. 

Our Impact

In 2025, Hope Crisis Center helped 684 survivors find safety and healing in the aftermath of violence. Of these people, 22 adults and 22 children had nowhere to go and needed shelter to be safe. We provided a total of 631 shelter nights.  Meanwhile, our hotline rang 5,112 times and a caring voice always answered.
