CASA of Gage County
About this Organization
CASA of Gage County has been serving kids in Gage County for 10 years. We are a member of the Nebraska CASA Association and the National CASA/GAL network. Our program has served over 50 children in the past 3 years with the help of 30+ trained volunteers. We work closely with local courts, DHHS, and schools to ensure comprehensive advocacy.
In July 2024, we launched Thrive Services, a mentoring and support initiative for low-risk youth on probation or transitioning out of the juvenile system. CASA of Gage County is also responding to increased regional needs by supporting youth in Jefferson and Saline counties.
Children involved in the foster care or juvenile court systems often experience multiple disruptions-placement instability, school changes, trauma, and unmet developmental needs. Gage County continues to see a rise in child welfare and juvenile cases, and referrals have increased steadily over the past 90 days. Without intervention, these children are at high risk for continued trauma, academic failure, and further system involvement.
