Free Family Community Art Sessions with Summit Street Church & Mr. Dungan

Proposal:
This year, Beatrice families will have the chance to create together during three special Saturdays of free, hands-on art.

Three Saturdays, throughout the Fall and Winter, with three 90-minute sessions each Saturday. Families are invited to attend one session each Saturday and work through all three experiences over the course of the program.

Session Dates & Mediums: 
September 27: Acrylic Painting
November 15: Charcoal and Chalk Pastel Drawing, 
Third Date TBD: Watercolor Painting.
Art Show TBD

Led by long-time Beatrice High School art teacher Nelson Dungan.

Everyone is welcome - no experience required. This is a chance for kids and their caregivers to enjoy the process of making art side-by-side, meet new people, and try something new. A caregiver must accompany the child(ren) for each session - no exceptions; to ensure that vulnerable populations are safe and that there is proper oversight of the children. 

All materials will be provided, as well as a snack and drinks for each session.

We Need Your Help To Make It Happen.
Summit Street Church will cover the cost of hosting these events and is raising $3,000 so every family can participate at no cost. Every dollar will go directly toward purchasing quality art supplies and providing refreshments for participants.

When the three Saturdays are complete, Summit Street Church will host a community art show to celebrate the work created together.
