Fundraiser Story
Every surgery we perform is a promise: to protect, to heal, and to prevent suffering. But even the most skilled veterinary team can't fulfill that promise without the right tools.
At Beatrice Humane Society's low-cost spay and neuter clinic, we operate under the gold standard of High-Quality, High-Volume Spay/Neuter (HQHVSN) protocols. That means:
Efficient procedures without compromising safety
Experienced teams trained in rapid recovery and complication prevention
Strict monitoring before, during, and after anesthesia
But right now, we're missing a critical piece of that safety net.
We urgently need to purchase:
1 Vetcorder Pro - a compact, multi-parameter monitor that tracks ECG, heart rate, SpOâ‚‚, and temperature
2 Breathe Safe Monitors - specialized devices that detect apnea and ensure patients are breathing properly under anesthesia
Why It Matters:
In high-volume clinics, we may spay/neuter 20-40 animals in a single day. That's dozens of lives under anesthesia-each one vulnerable to silent and potentially deadly complications like bradycardia, hypoxia, or apnea. Without proper monitoring, these issues are often detected too late.
Unlike some low-cost veterinary clinics that cut corners to reduce expenses, HQHVSN clinics like ours invest in:
Pre-op assessments and safe, reversible drug protocols
Licensed veterinary technicians to monitor and ensure patient safety from drop-off before surgery through pick-up post surgery.
Real-time monitoring to catch complications before they escalate
We don't just do more surgeries cheaper-we do them better.
???? Your Impact:
$75 helps cover the cost of a sensor cable
$250 supports one Breathe Safe monitor
$1,200 sponsors the Vetcorder Pro
Every dollar helps us keep animals safe from the moment they're sedated to the moment they wake up
This isn't just equipment-it's peace of mind. It's the difference between "we caught it early" and "we wish we had known".
Help us ensure every animal we spay and neuter this year wakes up safely and gets back home to their family. Because prevention isn't just better than cure-it's the only acceptable option.
