This year for Big Give Gage 2025, The Wymore-Blue Springs Area Fund is proud to partner with the Village of Barneston to help bring updates to the park.

Several people can remember the days long ago of a robust Barneston Picnic. There has been a strong effort to rekindle that kind of celebration, and over the last couple of years they have seen great success with Barneston Days and plan to continue it in the future!

The village doesn't have a lot of funding.  All the funding it has goes towards operating expenses, so to make any improvements to the park, it would have to come through donations.

We are asking your help to raise $20,000 to help bring a picnic shelter to the park.  There currently isn't one, and by adding this addition to the park it can make for a fun and safe place for families and events in the park. 

Any excess money raised after the shelter has been purchased and installed will go towards helping to shore up the historic bandstand, ensuring it remains a mainstay in the park, and towards painting the equipment and the playing surface in the playground area.

We couldn't do anything without our donors. Any size of donation helps us achieve the goal of improving the Barneston Park. Thank you for helping ensure the park gets the repairs and updates it needs!
