The Beatrice Foster Care Closet serves youth in foster care with brand new clothing, socks, shoes, underwear, diapers/wipes, and hygiene supplies. Youth are provided with a private, personalized shopping experience in a "store" where everything is free to them! They are able to choose their own clothing with their personal preference of style, color, fit, etc. A private dressing room is provided so that the youth is able to feel confident in what they are wearing. They are able to shop once per season (Fall/Winter & Spring/Summer). Youth are given an opportunity at each visit to choose from a variety of new games, toys, stuffed animals, school supplies, books, hand-made quilts and pillowcases, and other donated items. Youth and families are also provided with ongoing shopping opportunities through our Community Closet when they are no longer in foster care.
